"DEAR IJEAWELE" BOOK REVIEW & SPRING 2017 BOOKLIST.

Hey people! It's Coffee Shop Chat time. If you get latte wasted on my behalf, I would really appreciate it.

So godmother Chimamanda Adichie decided to bless us with a new book and as usual, I am all over it. AMAZING! A few months ago, I was indulging in my favorite time-waster : FACEBOOK/INSTAGRAM. Except this time, it was Facebook and godmother had dropped the longest Facebook post I have ever read in my life.

It was a copy of a letter she had sent to a dear friend of hers who had just birthed a daughter. It was the 101 of "How to raise a feminist". After what it felt like an hour, the only appropriate reaction was to sigh and exhale. DEEPLY. It was so on point. I learnt so much and I kind of hated that I did not get to print it out and post it on my wall of "THIS IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!" (I do this. My favorite Bob Marley lyrics are on my wall and so is the meaning behind Indian mandala tapestry.). So imagine my surprise when I picked up the book and it was the same Facebook status update but better.
